In reflecting on my childhood, I have transformed the 1939 fairy tale collection "German Fairy Tales" into a contemporary app format. This cherished book, inherited from my sister, became a gift for my grandchild as they began their journey in education.
The original German Gothic typeface may pose readability challenges for younger generations, prompting me to present these timeless tales with more accessible fonts. Additionally, I incorporated the original cigarette images, which are intricately woven throughout the app, along with the original graphics that enhance the storytelling experience.
Regrettably, I lack the opportunity to inquire with my parents about the origin of these images; both were non-smokers and would not have procured them through cigarette purchases.
